Not wanting to be a pedant because i agree with your sentiment.However BACKBURNING is a firefighting technique , not to be confused with HAZARD REDUCTION which is carried out before the fire season to reduce fuel buildup.Pretty sure you were referring to the punters whinging about hazard reduction burns .
