    SteveBee, basically the answer to your first question is yes. At the moment the market is unconvinced of AFG's ongoing viablity and that is why AFGHA is at such a discount.

    If AFG survives - without having to do a deal with creditors (see MFS/ OCV) - then one would expect AFGHA to be redeemed at face value in due course. If you think AFG can get itself out of trouble without any creditor negotiations then IMO then AFGHA are a bargain.
