Copper futures
I was watching the copper futures and noticed they started dropping (only a small amount) and then noticed the mining stocks start dropping much more than the copper futures. Now the copper futures have gone back up however the mining stock haven’t recovered that much.
Why does a small swing in the copper affect the mining stocks that much? Wouldn’t they have the price already locked in as part of the contracts they have?
