    yes...80k is a fairly hefty price tag for that type of repair....why any operation such as this would own second hand plant is beyond me.....dry or wet hire would be far better, breakdowns and downtime is someone else's problem and i'm sure (in Tassie) that you could hire a crusher too. i would be interested to see the crushing plant they are using, if anyone has a photo. As long as the feedstock is dry, a mobile gyratory could easily crush to 6mm or less at the rate of 4-500 tons per day. This appears to be too small an operation to be worried about owning plant, far better off to organise a contractor to drill/blast/crush on a campaign basis (usually at a daily rate, or per tonne)

    a sad state of events and having management that dont know how to move dirt doesnt help
