interesting the initial investigations indicate much of the problem is exactly what I posted about back in march 2017. At the time TRY's own website showed pictures of the pit walls which looked very much like they were inadequate. I was referred to as a troll when I bought this up on HC at the time
This from the initial report out today
“It was primarily that the pit is unsafe, that the ‘benching’ of the mining operations they are not comfortable with that. The walls are too steep, too horizontal. The pit, the depth that you are going down in comparison to the top opening of the pit was too narrow, and persons were saying that there are times when the wall had been falling, debris from the wall have been falling down and they’re not comfortable with it and that’s why we went to GGMC in the first instance."
Most unfortunate it has taken the death of Ryan Taylor for this crap management to be found lacking in health and safety as well as nearly every other mining operations component.
I posted this in March 2017 to a reply to one of the pom pom cheer leading squads insistence that the pit wall collapses was all the rains fault.
"'Well if TRY's share price performance was mainly due to precipitation you would have a good point but the share price tumble is due to many failings.Like management you blame the weather but I don't think you need to be an expert to work out TRY drove the depth of the smart pits to deep to fast without enough benches in an effort to save costs and get to the good gold veins quicker.......note the lack of details provided in any Geology updates."
