As I thought. You have no idea or ability to be in the conversation. How embarrassing for you .redface.png

You just thought you'd take a personal swipe at me as usual.

If you had read the whole thread you might actually have a clue. It looks like I'm going to have to type slower this time for your benefit.

I'm not arguing that human activity isn't causing temperature rise via CO2 emissions. We already know how that works.

What I am arguing is that those temperature rises because of that rise in CO2 concentration will have a significant impact on human life.

Sorry I had to simplify that for you. rolleyes.png

The ' climate scientists ' from the fossil funded Heartland Institute argue that we have had much higher levels of CO2 and much higher temperatures in earth's past. Therefore, they are claiming that life on earth survived ok in those periods and if we went back to those levels it would be ok.

What the fossil funded ' experts ' fail to address is that there weren't humans, particularly over 7 billion of them, living on earth in that period. They fail to acknowledge how dominant humans are with respect to the environment today.

I notice they didn't mention where the sea level was in those warmer periods either.

We have seen how slight temperature rises, erratic weather patterns and droughts can seriously affect humans worldwide. It doesn't take much to upset today's equilibrium . Crop failures, towns running out of fresh water etc. All pretty serious stuff.

If there had been 7 billion humans on the planet during these warmer periods, they may have an argument. But, they don't.....

Therefore , arguing that a rise in CO2 and temperature will have no effect on human life is a totally baseless argument. When the ' expert ' claims that a higher concentration in a room full of people is a scientific example of what life would be like if the global atmosphere was 900ppm, I just have to laugh at the gullible people who believe that.

If temperature were to rise, clearly it would have a significant effect of agriculture etc.

If sea level were to rise, it would a have a significant impact on humans as well.

Ultimately, it would be bad for all of us. Particularly if it happens over decades rather than millions of years.
