I guess it might not be a good time to start shorting, but if youve held shorts for a while already, now is the time to manipulate the price down and close out your position.
By 'a while' my thinking was weeks not days before an announcement.
In the grand scheme of things weeks isnt very long, but with no news, can be enough for the price to keep sliding lower.
