LYC retreated 5c or -1.87% to close at 2.63 which is exactly the 61.8% Fibonacci level.

The intraday high of +5c to 2.73 at 10:10AM was encouraging but short lived. The short sellers moved in and decided to shoot it down. According to data from shortman.com the short sellers have been very active and accounted for 42% of last Friday's total volume. This could be a tactic to depress the SP so they could accumulate before any good news from next Monday's Qtr Report.

Whether to buy dips is completely up to you. The LT outlook of Lynas is getting brighter every quarter with AL instigating so many new avenues to strengthen the balance sheet. The demand on RE is on the increase, geopolitical risks have elevated the company's global profile. The Malaysian government would think twice before threatening it again as so many more people are now watching.

The PDF could be a curveball but there are 2 states fighting to secure the rights to host it. The LAMP is situated in the state of Pahang, but only 10km down the road to the West is the state of Terermganu. It's most likely to be a done deal at the eleventh hour with intense bidding of one state against the other. Once the PDF is out of the way, there should be years of stability.
