And weren't there groundwater monitoring bores put in place after that burn? So we have many years' worth of data about the effects on groundwater.

The technology is both tried and tested for Australian conditions, and it sounds like the guy doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

And considering he's the Queensland minister for Mines and Energy, that is very worrying indeed.
