Three contenders, First prudentual, Mquarrie Prime, MF global.

    First mcquarie prime.

    Interesting prospect.

One trading platform for CFDs and shares, no monthly charge, if you dont use live data, depth, chart, watchlist.

Simply use prev system, for mine, i would continue to use comsec protrader, and just place orders through mquarie, if i want a cfd position,

Also, to start up, a 5000 min, they will accept equities as same, also they can re-finance a margin loan, and the free margin can be used. They offer a wider range of LVR than comsec. Eg, PDN comsec 50%, mquarie 87.25%. So in my case, with a margin loan secured largely by PDN, a switch over, generates extra free margin, and also have a 45% LVR on MAK, which is my largest free hold equity position, so provides a large LVR free margin to operate CFD or securities with.

Limitation to mquarrie is that they are limited to ASX listings only.

The other finalist, at this time, is MF Global or comsec, who offer o/s stocks, in particular the hong kong lists.
These, i have been told are more volatile during intraday, and could present a day trade opportunity, so long as the trend channel has suffcient peaks and troughs, typ 5-10% movements. The problem with the ASX lists, is that after the morning volatility, there is less than a few percent, maybe only 1-2% movement for the rest of the day with the blue chips, banks etc. Need to get my hands onto some of these charts for the honk kong lists.

    cheers
