@Silent-Bubbles thanks. I must admit I am not overly familiar with the whole court process so you must excuse my ignorance. Whilst the court proceedings might be covered in tje public domain, the data room doesn't appear to be. Access as you say is restricted to parties expressing interest in bidding. Sounds like a pretty standard process to me. Submit EOI and be granted access. Unless as you say bidders are required to publicly express their interest, there is no way of knowing who is crunching the numbers in the data room. Only the admin of data room sees this.

I asked this on the ajm forum, why is ajm doing this when they have a significant debt pile. As far as Ajm shareholders are concerned, they are paying for ajm to run a mine, refinance the debt and earn a return, not to do pro bono work and serve the common boards' interest. What is the extent of ajms input and is there a recap on the cards combining assets, debt and equity.
Regarding the environmental rehab obligation, whoever picks up the asset inherits the obligation but I think its a long bow to expect synergies on this front.
Assuming the asset is of value, why would galaxy not run their ruler over this. What makes this asset complementary to sayona bubbles, so much so that it makes no sense to anyone else to come in and make an offer. After all as you say the sale process is in government's interest, and therefore should be after the highest bidder not a low ball muscle flexer.
@A4paper agree, one doesn't simply raise 2-3x their market cap without a cornerstone investor or jv partner of some sort. Both debt and equity have arguably never been more expensive in the lithium space. You don't create value out of thin air.
If the intention is to operate, the funding package needs to be bigger and then ofcourse you have to sell into an arguable oversupplied market (depending on who you choose to believe). Or will it be wrapped in a bow and sold to someone who could have bought it in the first place at a lower price ...
Again I think these things are better done discretely.
In any case, it will definitively be interesting to see how things unfold. Well don't to Sayona for throwing it's hat in the ring and assembling the a team under the circumstances.
