you may well be correct about the world being in growth mode for another 1/4 to 1/2 century......but that doesn't mean all growth all the time. look at a chart of the great US bull run of 82 to 99. 17 years of high growth. but within that period you had the 87 crash and the 92 to 95 recession. Ask anyone who traded through those times....it was obviously painful for them and many were wiped out in 87.

However looking at the chart today those events look like little bumps in the road. Perhaps chartists of 2035 will view this next period of time in the same way....but for us now it is no small bump
