This should be put in the "feedback forum" and tag @Madmin .... he will deal with it the best he can. plus you will get the repsonse that best answers the situation...
To be honest the best way to stop these scam ad's is for HC to charge a membership fees, still allow guests so any one can read HC, but for those that wish to post have to pay a annual fee... I also think that will get rid of most of the idiots that post rubbish... I would be more than happy to pay a $50=$100 annual fee to HC... the Ads then can be more selective, ad's from the likes of brokers, listed companies, trading platforms etc etc. keeping it purely trading related advertising...
also most of these ads that pop up can at times be due to your own search history... your cookies are no secret on HC, hence why at times you will see ad's that you have shown interest in via your search engine...
again the world is full of scams mate... nothing will change, if anything its increasing rapidly ... HC is obviously about revenue, this may be the best that they can come up with for now... at the end of the day its still a free site to us all... I long for the day for paid memberships and true identity so posters can take responsibility for there posts.... if you think the ads are a worry, consider some of the scamming posters on HC, some of them even have red hearts. some are directors of companies, some are paid posters from companies... more scams going from that side of HC IMO over the likes of some stupid ad..... - There are more pages in this discussion • 12 more messages in this thread...
