UPDATE - Africa's Top-40 index up 2 pct, led by miners
Global mining giants Anglo American Plc (AGLJ.J) and BHP Billiton (BILJ.J) underpinned the market's surge as they took their cue from a strong sector performance in London. Anglo and BHP added 2.85 percent and 3.03 percent to 409 and 228 rand, respectively.
