We are nowhere. We don't know if the CR failed or not (at least not officially. Since they haven't announced anything it's pretty clear it didn't close.). We don't know if the new directors are still acting on behalf of SAS or not (they haven't been appointed as far as I'm aware). We do know they got a fresh injection of R&D grant money from the UK gov't that will last through late Jan or early Feb. We don't know if MM or anyone else is still chasing money or not, but the CTO has been doing a few Facebook posts so he's not dead. We do know that.
