Spoke to the organisers of the Metal Events conference earlier this week and learnt there has been an overwhelming response from attendees to Lynas' offer of a tour of the LAMP, now a wait list and they've had to hire a conference room at the Hyatt to fit everyone in for the pre tour presentation.
Metal Events is probably the most international RE conference, with roughly equal weighting China/Asia, Eu & US, and equally, the broadest spread up & down stream, over the years it has evolved a long way from a simple forum for a host of wannabes to spruik their latest glossy.
Change of venue from HK to KL has fallen into Lynas', and Mahathir's, lap given the media opportunity to present the world travelling to Malaysia for RE, and LAMP and reinforcing Mahathir's pitch for downstream investment.

Hardly surprising but the attendee list suggests a BIG conference, certainly dramatic contrast to morbid 2015.
