Not that after rooftop PV is the market genex seels into, but >>usage<< is not really highly double-peaked.

e vehicles it f we do it sensibly, will be charged premium to charge up during ether morning or evening peak. If we were extra clever we also let then be exposed to general daily varying prices depending on whether PV and wind was plentiful that day or not. EVs by choosing which day to charge based on price would help level out variability, without incurring any extra real cost over an above beign smart/connected enough to make the desion.

Not sure I understand your thinking, cause the hydro is meant to meet the immediate demand in the morning and in the evening.

That shows production of rooftop solar peaking during the day because it is able to. Hydro storage will produce in the same way as coal and gas on the graph.
