Today might be the day for final bids, but there will be several days to look them over, decide which is the winner, inform the winner, set a date for settlement, etc.

In other words, if Centro runs to form, it might be a while before a definitive announcement - that a sale has been made can be announced almost immediately, but details might take a while - so ppl don't panic is you don't hear something in the next few days...
