Splitit’ s solution works off the existing customers credit card rails .. just like any recurring payment or membership fee is charged to the card monthly .. You are correct only in that banks may not have a strong interest in customer adoption. That’s why many have / are considering either launching their own solutions, or partnering with BNPL players to offer the solution
to their customers .. which is the case of Klarna for example
Either way , the global addressable market for the solution is huge , and Splitit is well positioned to take advantage of they are able to scale fast .. Time will tell if they are successful.. I’m betting they will be , and that’s why I’m holding for the long term..
