Should a major CBM resource be discovered in the Pedirka Basin, the most likely commercialisation option for the gas is the Eastern Australian market. This can be accessed via the Moomba Hub with a new 600 km pipeline as shown below. Studies indicate the pipeline could be economic for a throughput as modest as 30 PJ pa, which represents only 15% of gas that will pass through the hub. Once at Moomba, the markets in eastern Australia can be
supplied physically or with gas swaps.
