Without delving too deeply into what I do, I work with quite a few entities who invest with a commodities focus, and everyone's feeling pain at the moment. Sentiment seems to be that if a good day is when you don't lose any money!
As you say, take a long view and just hope you've big b*lls to withstand the pain; on the upside, at these prices, you can afford to have them galvanised cheaply, no matter how large they are! :)
