Some people are willfully ignorant and make false assumptions. Most Australians are not anti-American and well remember how the US saved OZ in the second WW., but don't be ignorant about how the political system works now in the US. VERY rich and powerful people DO control many politicians on both sides, either through lobbying, large 'campaign' contributions,being 'caught' in compromising situations etc etc. How can anyone accuse Russia of starting this because they had built up forces. Don.t people think that maybe Russia had some sort of intelligence that moves were afoot? It's certainly looking like they may have been sucked into something but what is the endgame? I don't think we will have to wait too long before it becomes apparent.
