I am no expert, actually far from it, just a humble uni economics student but i put this question to my macroeconomics honours proffesor who worked in the gold finance industry for ten years before teaching. His answers was to hold and accumilate companies such as new crest but not to touch smaller producers. He reckons a 20% upside in the nest 6-12weeks is the most likely scenario.
Please take my post into consideration but don't use it to make your decision. Also personally I am holding 1400 share parcel of newcrest at an average price of $24.12 and i plan to keep holding it till my target price of $25.85.
