I don't know who Sparktastic is with, but I'm with Ubank and my variable rate is 2.84% with zero fees so the comparison rate equals the interest rate...I think technically my rate is composed of a higher base rate and a "loyalty discount" but I think they give literally everyone that discount.
Ubank is NAB's budget subsidiary like Jetstar is to Qantas; they don't have branches so you need to be happy doing everything through online banking, but if you're ok with that lower level of service then it's a good saving. Ubank used to specifically target low-risk loans so I think you had to be owner-occupier, principal & interest and max LVR 80% to get that rate, I don't know if that's still true.
From a quick google it looks like Teachers Mutual Bank currently offers 2.80% and www.reduceloans.com.au are offering 2.71%. I didn't look into what conditions those lenders have but they're probably also worth a look though if you're considering refinancing.
