I would hope the the IE is a member of a professional body.
For example the resolution institute: https://www.resolution.institute/resources/code-of-ethics

the code of Ethics for members states amounts other things that ...”To conduct the process in a timely manner and in accordance with the law”.

Why are management not lodging formal complaints with the governing body of the IE given that the determination is months past self imposed deadline.

All I can see is:

1) the IE that has been appointed and has no governing body or submits to a code of ethics/practice. Theodore company have no leverage. If the IE has a governing body - lodge a complaint!
2) the company were incorrect in the announcement regarding time frames and are too embarrassed to correct - if this is the case did they publish incorrect information
3) commercial negotiations are ongoing and it’s not as clear cut as what people believe - I.e BPL have a stronger position that one may think.

either way management need to update with more information that just ‘we will release once received and reviews’.
