The biggest difference in my view is that cannabidiol and cannabidivarin are pure drugs. They are compounds foreign to the human body and like all drugs they will have positive and negative biological effects. This can also lead to long term toxicity or effect resistance. Trofinetide as an analog of a naturally occurring peptide. So it is far less foreign than the GW drugs and can stimulate natural biological processes back to equilibrium (not super charge them like drugs do) and hopefully the nature of the analog means that side effects over the long term are negligible.

I personally believe the future of medicine lies in these types of treatments. Whether it be imunotherapy for cancer, stem cells, angiogensis/anti-angiogensis and the like. I think Neuren sit right in the wheel house of the next medical revolution. This may in fact be a cure/treatment for all the Autism spectrum and could change the world.
