The chip holes are large step outs, from memory 4km from the cores. This one was ‘ok’ but not a kick out of the park.

The cores are obviously located where they expect to hit the best coals. The chips let them know where to focus the next efforts. I’d think they will find better ground than where this first one was drilled. It’s done it’s job though and proven there is coal and gas quite remote from the key core holes.

The highly fractured nature of the coals was interesting. This should theoretically translate to decent permeability
