WTF with the share price this week?, page-7

Three things are weighing heavily on GPR's share price at the moment:

1. The SPP at 2.5c doesn't close till the end of the month, so there's a horde of quick profit merchants out there who will sell any time the SP gets above 2.5c;
2. Anyone who wants to buy will have bought in the past month, either in the placement or on market at 2.5c or less, or will be planning to buy in the SPP; and
3. The pending 1 for 25 share consolidation - typically a consolidation leads to a reduction in market cap i.e. the consolidated share price tends to be less than 25 times the pre-consolidation share price.

Once all that smoke clears, and that probably means January 2020, cool heads will do the maths and work out that the SP is some 20% of the value of the gold project, a project which now appears very likely to proceed. Every month that goes by as the preliminary works are completed and the gold price doesn't tank, removes one month of uncertainty from the pricing of the project and of the company.

So the current tanking of the SP is irritating, but in my view will be short-lived. (In my very humble view)
