I've read far worse and greater exaggerations too mate. I've made money off none of them.

Doesn't make this one any less ridiculous.

When something like this is posted it's human nature to want to believe that it is the truth. We all have skin in the game and anything that suggests a greater outcome for the stock (no matter how factual) generates interest.

Put it into perspective. If a stranger told you that chickens were dying out or that the price of paperclips was about to skyrocket due to a shortage of carpet, would you go out and buy 5000 jars of olives?

Hotcopper is a minefield of posts by the the overly optimistic, pessimistic and people purely trying to manipulate others with hidden agendas.

If you invest in anything due to what you read on hot copper then you won't make a cent. There has been talks on hot copper of a takeover with every single spec stock I have owned. Not one has come to fruition.

I'm not telling regular posters to suck eggs cos you all know this. This is specifically for people new to hot copper, or even new to shares! I've noticed a few floating around lately.

I rarely post and I think this little rant will see me out for a while.
