mate, seriously...... how can you even think you're right. You need to take personal circumstance of your purchase price OUT of the equation.
1. you are quoting american option terminology.
2. here is an extract from ASX - If the exercise price is greater than the market price of the share the put option is in-the-money and has intrinsic value. CASE CLOSED! THAT IS FROM THE ASX!
Suggest you research the ASX - not an american website (investopedia).
