All this media hype over a baby whale....and you guys believe that nothing further could be done? Let's say maybe so but it would have been futile and the animal could have suffered more for it. The ``actively started trying to get away'' was its animal instinct to do so. If the whale wasn't or couldn't leave on its own, nature would have taken its course and she would have died anyway.
For all the bleeding hearts out there...where would they put this huge mammal, where were they going to find another mother for it and how were they going to feed it..through a straw?
Get real..just love the lounge chair expert critics! lol.
BTW, if you want to save an animal and do more than criticise what about saving an animal on death row? Wish I could take more but six cats is my limit. These cats and dogs aren't getting a mention and thousands of healthy and innocent die every year. Go to an animal shelter and witness the euthanasing on healthy animals especially during the summer season. If this whale story makes you feel sick in the stomach the shelter stories are even better!
There so many unfortunate stories but like the RSPCA's CEO once told me "there are the good stories too." Let's reflect on those for inspiration and what we can do as individuals to help.
