First of all Rangi, and anyone else out there who's been overusing the world "defensive" - Woolworths for god sake is NOT a defensive stock.

What kind of defensive stock falls from $35 to nearly $22? That's over 30 per cent, you can't be serious in your definition of defensive, who the hell told you its defensive?

Woolworths is a growth stock, its growing at over 20% a year, defensive stocks don't grow that fast, do you see AGL growing that much?

And why the hell would you want Woolworths to buy into Caltex? It's just a distribution deal to give people the incentive to shop into Woolworths, Woolworths OWNING an energy company would change its business model from what it simply is right now: A monopolistic supermarket which rips us off for stuff we need to live.
