So is it your broker or the ASX that gave you that answer? Surely you are allowed to pay whatever price you are happy with to get the amount of shares you want? I could offer my shares at $15 and that would be allowed but nobody would be allowed to buy them even if they wanted too? Market cap suppression by the ASX?
