Seriously "leading provider" ????? one would assume you needed a successful company with a decent level of sales to justify that tag.
Perhaps to be more accurate it should have read:
"is a struggling small provider of software that has failed to gain market acceptance of its product after years of trying and the expenditure of significant amounts of shareholders funds"
