From my understanding there are many ethnic armed groups within Myanmar, many of which have different agendas and objectives, and many of which have signed peace agreements with the Myanmar military. Only a small number of these ethnic armed groups dabble in the drug trade, particularly the TNLA. The TNLA are estimated, by some sources, to only number in a few thousand; hardly a militia some would say.

The risk that TNLA present to MYL is essentially non-existent. The TNLA target government institutions that disrupt their operations, like police and military; not other entities that are doing business within Myanmar.

It doesn't stop entities investing in Mexico because people die every day from drug trade related violence and conflict; in fact it doesn't stop entities investing in Australia because people die just about every day from drug related violence and conflict.

Drug related violence and conflict occurs in every nation on this planet where there be military and police involved, or civil armed groups/individuals. If this is a filter for your investments, then you may as well just buy physical gold and silver, and hide it under your mattress.
