re: **towie** Yes, but the safest way is to make a placement; it is immediate.
That the price was 18 cents could well have been determined when the share price was much less than today's, say 19.5 cents.
These things are not done on the spur of the moment.
If the small shareholder was asked to pay 18 cents when the share price was say 19.5 cents, then they probably needed to go go down to 15 cents before the small shareholder would take it and perhaps they wanted an option as well.
I have seen too many things go wrong with these SPP's, the latest victim was CQT.
Believe me that the placement would have been done earlier today or yesterday and to take today's 23 cents number as the base is absolutely wrong.
