A well presented argument my new found friend
I agree with many of the things you have said
I have worked with many scientists in my life and am married to a PhD
but the problem remains with what we do with the information and knowledge that we possess
Unfortunately most things these days become politicised and consequently a rift is created in society where it becomes polarised into black and white debate - you are either a believer or denier
"divide et impera" was a favourite ploy of Julius Caesar and still very popular these days

The biggest elephant in the room is over population which is the source of most of problems but rarely gets a mention
Geo engineering also rarely gets a mention.

So we can agree that climate change has always - and always will - exist on this earth.
    The question is -
do we try and change it and devolve back to the stone age in doing so
and consequently create a "have and have nots" dystopian society

or do we learn to adapt to the changes that are occurring?

I'm sure that if Charles Darwin was alive today he would probably choose to "adapt" rather than change
"adaption" was the root concept to his evolution theories wasn't it?

Jumping up and down with both sides saying they are correct is not going to achieve anything

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit
Wisdom is not putting it in the fruit salad
