Australian’s are rather conservative and don’t like change at all. The last major piece of tax reform was the GST and that was more than 20 years ago. The two biggest taxes that need to be reformed (that interestingly haven’t been raised so far) are payroll tax and stamp duty. It is regulation, not tax, that needs the most attention. The amount of red tape has exploded in the last 20 years especially in the areas of environmental regulation, health and safety, and native title. We are regulating ourselves out of a living.

We needs a bloke like this as our PM with an outright majority. Kudlow looking to cut Tax for middle class to 15% in the last interview i watched. We are ridiculously over=taxed here imo.
