I don't think it is unreasonable to assume that any (if not all) potential dividends would now be going into CAN's capex provisioning (for production ramping) rather than shareholder's pockets. That is my own personal takeaway from the announcements in the last two days though. Others are free to be more optimistic than I am. I have as of today written off 80% of my CAN investment (for planning purposes only of course since I am still holding) and am not expecting to ever receive dividends. My sentiment to hold is merely a result of a personal belief that the price will probably be higher in two or three years' time than it is today if the company is able to survive - and that selling right now would result in such a catastrophic capital loss for me, that no alternative investment with the funds acquired from my selling them will reap more benefit long term than simply hoping the share price will go back up somewhat over time.

When you have lost well over half your money (I've now lost around 65% of my investment on paper), the only way to deal with it psychologically is to move on and try to make the loss as tax effective as you can. My way of dealing with it anyway.
