I had some idiot at work last week telling all and sundry that the bushfires are the worst in memory. He had a European accent. I asked him whose memory. He said his own memory. So I asked him how long had he been here and did he follow bushfire news before he came to Australia. He had been here 6 years and no, he didn't follow bushfire news before he came here.

So his worst in memory amounted to the worst in 6 years? Err, yes he agreed. How much weight does your 6 years of memory carry? ZILCH!!
