Should include the following imo;
1. Australian head of state directly elected by the people. Largely ceremonial but with reserve powers if things go bad.
2. Prime minister powers should be codified in the document.
3. All politicians, judiciary, defence officers etc. should swear a prescribed oath that they will protect the constitution and act in the best interest of Australia.
4. Treaty with indigenous peoples once and for all to put an end to the matter.
5. Guaranteed rights for Australian citizens including right to free speech, right to jury trial and right to free movement etc.
6. Citizen initiated referendum.
7. Clear and unambiguous delegation of federal government vs state govt vs local government responsibility to eliminate duplication and waste.
8. Harmonisation of all state and federal laws relating to driver licenses, etc etc to again eliminate waste and duplication.
9. Government spending based on need, based on established criteria, to avoid pork barelling and favouritism.
10. Rights of the people to be paramount with government to serve the people not the other way round.

If you implement 6 then you don’t have to worry about the others.
If you think 4 will end the whinging and shakedowns for more cash I have a slightly used bridge over Sydney Harbour that you might be interest in buying.
I would like to see a change to the constitution that prevents the government from making any law on the basis of race or national origin. This would put an end to the whole Aboriginal gravy train.
