Yep the scale is massive. They charge a small fee for certificates and graded content, if you can afford it - but can apply to have the fees waived. If you can afford it, but do not want the certificate you can learn the content for free. It's an excellent concept.
The OLL prospectus names Coursera as their largest comparable competitor, and to be fair they are a big risk to OLL, and all other online learning platforms for that matter - education should be free worldwide!
As a result of researching OLL I found Coursera in prospectus, and am now enrolled in a free Final Cut film editing course - something I wouldn't have paid for elsewhere.
