Happened to me once, via a fax order, the broker put
a wrong sell order on, costing me $$$$. he had to buy back. needless to say,
this took 6 weeks becasue they denied knowledge of the fax.
Telstra or whoever is your phone supplier would have evidence of your phone/fax making calls
However it does not mean the fax recorded them (this is why email and "request read receipt" is best again a legal firm will not?
