I think I recall David saying that largest single provider in NZ is bigger than the largest single provider of RAC in Australia. But if I quickly Google that I see that BUPA is the biggest in NZ with 48 care homes however they have 70 in Australia. So I probably have my facts wrong.
Those care facility numbers are interesting in themselves. If you assume the facilities are on average the same size in making this comparison then BUPA have 1 RAC for every 100,000 people in NZ compared to 1 for every 350,000 in Australia. BUPA in NZ have 3.5x the concentration (or whatever word fits in this statement) than here.
So indeed saturating the NZ market potentially requires fewer sign ons than here.
