I also think the proxy advisors have shown they are toothless when it comes to companies like HVN which have controlling shareholders. Yesterday many insto’s blinked when voting on the Spill Motion as they knew a spill would be value destroying and futile. It costs them nothing to vote against the Rem Report, so you have to ask what did the proxy advisors achieve for their clients yesterday? The answer is nothing despite the clients paying handsome fees to the proxy advisors who achieved nothing.

Back to more important matters I agree that retail is probably at its lowest right now. Surprisingly I think Christmas may surprise on the upside especially if the UK vote for Brexit and give Johnson a reasonable majority. I also think the Quiet Australians will properly celebrate Scott Morrison’s victory with a quiet opening of the purse strings and spread a little join amongst the family. I know Mr. and Mrs. Daicosisgod are.
