The trading halt concerns the release of 1200 mg trial data from DARRT-1. My guess is that the trading halt was designed to prevent anyone with price-sensitive information taking advantage of existing shareholders by buying their shares at low prices.

We have seen this before, particularly if conference organisers demand that price-sensitive data be released exclusively to their meeting. A massive spike in price and volume recently occurred in the US when good trial results were described in a poster that could be found online, before presentation. While some might applaud those who took advantage of their information, I feel sorry for the shareholders who sold, not knowing the full story.

The release of 1200 mg DARRT data is a significant milestone for Noxopharm. The Trading Halt suggests that the data will indeed be price-sensitive. Bring it on!
