He was very clear at the AGM about the strategy: longer mine life means more security for potential investors. And whilst there is some interest right now, it's not (in his words) the "right interest".
The flagging V market price has made investment in the industry less attractive right now, so it's incumbent upon the AVL team to make this project as attractive as possible - and that means demonstrating its viability thru pilot plant results (expected in the coming Q), lowering the opex as much as possible (the reduction made by shift to Mullewa will be understood this Q as well) and increasing the measured life of mining (which is what these drilling results are about).
It's clear that the "potential" we have here is not enough to attract big fish to bite, so the plan is pretty clear: remove doubts, lower costs, demonstrate long term return. Improve the value of the investment. Reduce risk.
There plenty of S/H here that are deep red as we held and converted oppies - myself included - so cry me a river that we're under the CR price now! We all make our own buy/sell choices. But until AVL drop the ball - and I don't believe they have - I still believe there are solid returns waiting for us in the future.
