electricity generated by sun and or wind AND stored in battery units is the holy grail.

so it's a matter of time as to when such technologies are available at an acceptable price with good performance.

By technologies i mean:
Solar - more efficient panels at a lower cost and re-cyclable.
Wind - quieter, less visibly intrusive, no health issues.
Battery - smaller, safer, lighter, rechargeable for long periods ( 20 years ) ,able to power a car or house for hours ( not 1/2 of 1 hour ).

Give me all of that or give me more and cheaper diesel.
