Fact remains that last year there were 90 licensed hemp growers in Oregon and this year there were over 2000, with similar trends seen in other states. Lots of farmers are complaining about not being able to sell their product and about existing contracts not being honoured by buyers / brokers etc for a variety of reasons.
There is simply too much product supply for the processing equipment (mainly CBD processing) available in the US this year. While the supply and demand quantities and processing capacity available will align over the coming years, it's not an easy time for hemp growers right now (as told to me personally by one of them last week). Hemp offers a great opportunity to make a lot of money, but growing costs and risks are high as well, so it's not just 'easy money' like many people hope. I hope it all works out for CLI SH's.
