The Book of Revelation was written for seven churches in Asia Minor. It had a contemporary message for those churches who were being relentlessly persecuted.

While it is true the book was of encouragement to the 7 congregations named, it was also pointed out by John it was relevant to the ''Lords day''.
(Revelation 1:10) By inspiration I came to be in the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a strong voice like that of a trumpet,

This is true not only of the book of Revelation but the Bible as a whole.
(1 Corinthians 10:6) Now these things became examples for us, in order for us not to desire injurious things, as they desired them.
(1 Corinthians 10:11) Now these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for a warning to us upon whom the ends of the systems of things have come.

Guidance from the Scriptures was vital to the end of the Jewish era and it is vital to the end of the present system of things.
(Romans 15:4) For all the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction, so that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope.

Man has no hope of fixing the present system... only Jehovah God can.
